RULES FOR TRANSFER SITE LOCATED AT
8756 S. GRAYLING ROAD
First driveway north of Beaver Creek Township Building
YOU MUST HAVE THE BAR CODED STICKER PERMANENTLY DISPLAYED ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE DRIVER'S SIDE, LOWER CORNER OF YOUR VEHICLE'S WINDSHIELD OR YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO DISPOSE OF REFUSE. VEHICLES WILL BE SCANNED UPON ENTRY. ONE ADDITIONAL STICKER WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR A SECOND VEHCILE, IF APPLICABLE, FOR $3.00.
ALL HOUSEHOLD TRASH MUST BE BAGGED OR IT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
New Recycling Guidelines – Please read instructions carefully on the reverse side of this notice. Special recycling trailers are stationed at the Beaver Creel Township Transfer Site. Our Attendant at the Transfer Site will assist you if you have any questions.
Special metal and furniture CLEANUP DAY for The Beaver Creek Township Transfer Site will be announced later this year - but for 2008 it was held on: SATURDAY, JUNE 14, 2008 from 7 a.m. through 11 a.m.
(Large metal items are accepted year round) TV’s are NOT considered metal. ( No freon items without safety seal) This can be obtained at an appliance repair store.
CRAWFORD COUNTY TIRE CLEAN UP DAY WILL BE SCHEDULED LATER - BUT FOR 2008 IS WAS ON SATURDAY, JUNE 21, 2008 - TIMES HAVE YET TO BE DETERMINED.
DAYS & TIMES FOR TRANSFER SITE OPERATIONS AT 8756 S. GRAYLING ROAD
WEDNESDAY: 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M.
SATURDAY: 8:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.
SUNDAY: 1:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M.
NOTE: When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the Transfer Site is open the following Monday from 1:00 P.M.- 6:00 P.M.. Our Transfer Site Attendant reported numerous garbage bags were illegally thrown over the fence at the locked site on Easter Sunday, last year, even though signs were posted that the Transfer Site would be closed on Easter Sunday and open the next day. Animals ripped open the bags, creating quite a health hazard.
Transfer Site rules adopted by the Township Board state: “ANY PERSONS FOUND DUMPING AFTER HOURS SHALL BE SUBJECT TO CLEANUP FEES AND/OR FINES OF UP TO $100.00”. Please report anyone you see violating these rules. We thank you for your cooperation.
